SUPPLEMENTARY DICTIONARIES

In the 1980s and 90s, monolingual and bilingual supplementary dictionaries with words and idioms that are not found in other dictionaries were developed from the individual glossaries and notes of literary translators in Straelen, in collaboration with Straelener Manuskripte Verlag.

Specialist reference works still available:

• German: The language of the Ruhr region, entitled Hömma!, continually revised since 1984. [see details, with an excerpt]
• German: Terms and catchwords of the Nazi period, entitled NS-Deutsch, published in 1988. [see details]

Out of print! Special reference works available only second-hand:
